‘The Filmy Grain of Greenness’ derives it’s name from the poem ‘My Country’ By Dorothea Mackellar and was inspired by the artist’s stay on Mount Dandenong, Victoria. The artwork captures the sense of just how deep the forest on the mountain goes by utilising multiple layers, colours, patterns and textures to evoke the thick, mysterious and luscious bush.
